This one is a little personal. Over the weekend I lost my mother suddenly. She was the one who always pushed me to pursue my passion in music. From my first trumpet and marching snare to my first guitar she was always there supporting and encouraging me to follow my dreams but to be smart about it. She was always willing to hear me vent when things were rough and give me encouragement and if you met her she was probably going to crochet something for you or your kids then invite you to go listen to live music somewhere. She was constantly proud of her family and bragged not only on me and my sister, but her nieces and nephews, siblings, and extended family. She was the matriarch.
I’m going to take a few days away to be with my family. For those that have already reached out, thank you. It means more than you will ever know. For those asking about funeral arrangements they are as follows:
Visitation 11am-1pm and funeral at 1pm (CST) at Morrisons Funeral Home. (825 N. Main St. Tuscumbia, AL 35674) on Wednesday, March 27th.
